The Lutheran Missionary 1921-1930.

This series comprises a complete publishing run for The Lutheran Missionary for 1921-1930, when it was published by the Iowa Synod. Issues are printed in black and white, with some containing photographs. Issues of this magazine are a good source for statistics and reports regarding mission work in Papua New Guinea. There are unbound copies from 1921-1927 and bound copies from 1928-1930. Issues were published monthly and pages were numbered consecutively within each volume. No issues are missing and the series is in good condition except for certain unbound issues. Care should be taken in the handling of the unbound issues. Issues after 1930 are located in the ALC 30/4/2 The Lutheran Missionary, 1931-1954. In addition to the paper records, the archives also has microfiche copies of The Lutheran Missionary from 1921-1930 and one microfilm reel that includes issues from 1921-1930. A negative copy of the microfiche is available. Records are arranged chronologically.
